Assistant General Counsel

MS Legal Search’s client, an international corporation, is seeking a corporate attorney with 5+ years to join it’s Houston based Headquarters. The ideal corporate counsel attorney has experience with contracts, procurement, project development, financing and general corporate matters. As an international company, experience in a global context, either in-house or at a top-tier law firm is preferred.  In addition, attorney candidates must have Spanish language skills (oral and written). Additional Portuguese language skills are also preferred.

This Counsel position will have the responsibilities generally associated with Associate General Counsel, Assistant General Counsel and Director of Legal level positions.

This corporate attorney will work closely with the General Counsel and other C-suite executives on

• Negotiating and drafting agreements and other documents on behalf of the company
• Advising C-suite executives within the company
• Working closely with other departments within the company including accounting/ finance, HR and operations.
• Advising on contract status, legal risks, and the legal liabilities associated with different matters
