Elaine Makris Williams, Esq.
Elaine Makris Williams founded MS Legal Search and led the company until 2014. She has a twenty-five year track record of recruiting top attorneys for prominent corporations and law firms. She handled exclusive searches for general counsels, division heads, key in-house attorneys, law firm partners, and law firm practice groups. Elaine regularly spoke and wrote on attorney hiring and legal market trends was frequently quoted in legal and business publications.
Elaine has also trained law firm partners across the country on marketing and communication skills and has served as an expert witness for attorney employment and recruiting lawsuits.
A graduate of The University of Texas School of Law, Elaine practiced at a large Austin firm before joining a national attorney search firm in 1988, where she became a principal/owner. She formed MS Legal Search in 1995. Elaine is originally from Houston, but spent her junior high and high school years overseas. She received her undergraduate education at Mount Holyoke College and The University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated cum laude with Special Honors in the Plan II Interdisciplinary Honors Program.
Elaine has been an active Houston community volunteer and encourages her to team to support and volunteer for causes they believe in. She is a former member of the Board of Directors for the Houston Area Women’s Center, where she served on the Executive Committee and co-chaired the annual Race Against Violence. She previously served on the Board of Trustees for Annunciation Orthodox School, where she chaired the Board’s Diversity Committee. She was also an Associate for Jones College at Rice University.
Morgan Sheinberg Warren, Esq.
Successful lawyer – successful legal recruiter, Morgan has an unmatched perspective on the legal recruiting process. Morgan is an accomplished lawyer, having practiced at some of the top law firms in the nation. This experience combined with her years of legal recruiting enables her to uniquely connect with her legal candidates and clients.
Upon graduation from the University of Texas School of Law, Morgan moved to New York City to work in the mergers and acquisitions section at Wall Street law firm Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton, where she represented a number of Fortune 100 companies in various national and international divestitures and acquisitions. Upon returning to Texas, Morgan completed tours of duty in the Houston offices of law firms Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld and King & Spalding, where she represented major energy corporations in securities transactions and strategic acquisitions.
Morgan is an honors graduate of Indiana University and the University of Texas School of Law. At Indiana University, Morgan’s studies focused on international economics and politics and Russian language and culture. At the University of Texas School of Law, Morgan served as President of the Student Bar Association, a member of the Alumni Association Executive Committee and Texas Young Lawyers Association Board of Directors. Morgan also attended University College London where she concentrated on international law.
Morgan is a native of Houston and a member of the Texas and New York State Bars. Morgan and her husband David, a Houstonian and graduate of Rice University, have twin boys and two dogs. Morgan is a supporter of the Houston Zoo, Texas Children’s Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center, in addition to her volunteer activities at West University Elementary School. The Warren family enjoys exploring new places and searching for top culinary delights.
David Warren
David is an experienced recruiter and brings a unique perspective to the recruiting process. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Rice University and has an undergraduate degree in marketing and communications from the University of Texas at Austin. David’s success stems from his in-depth knowledge of the legal community as well as his attention to the unique details inherent with each candidate and search.
Prior to working with MS Legal Search, David founded Bauer Communication, a full service marketing consultancy based in Houston. He also worked for Service Corporation International (NYSE: SCI), a leading service provider in North America. David worked in the Office of the Chairman and also headed up SCI’s North American marketing efforts. After completing his MBA, David moved to New York where he was VP of Strategic Initiatives for APBnews.com. After a successful tenure, he became Vice President of Marketing at Service Channel, a leader in the ASP market.
David is a native Houstonian and is actively involved with the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Rice University where he is a frequent lecturer. He is also Ambassador to the Houston Zoo, Ambassador to Texas Children’s Hospital and is intimately involved with the William’s and Warren Family Trust at Texas Children’s Hospital.
